Jeffrey L Weathers is a certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the National Association of Certified QuickBooks Advisors (NACQA) and the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). Jeff is a Business Coach with Mountain BizWorks in Asheville and teaches QuickBooks at Cleveland Community College, Isothermal Community College, and Catawba Valley Community College.

 Employer Compliance and Payroll Laws are constantly changing.  As an employer, you have specific payroll responsibilities that are required by government agencies. In North Carolina these agencies are Federal (United States Treasury) and State (NC Department of Revenue and NC Department of Commerce Division of Employment Security). Some of these responsibilities include, but are not limited to, withholding amounts from your employees' compensation to cover Federal Income Tax Withholding, Social Security, Medicare, State Withholding, Federal Unemployment (FUTA) and State Unemployment (SUTA).  Reporting and depositing payroll taxes to the appropriate agency in an accurate and timely manner is vital to your business. Late or inaccurate deposits may result in penalties and interest charges. Intro to QuickBooks gets new and prospective small business owners and users started using the QuickBooks accounting software. Our QuickBooks expert will give you a complete introduction to the QuickBooks Desktop product including: setting up a company file and chart of accounts, navigating the home page, setting up your products and services, and using QuickBooks lists and forms to record sales and manage expenses. After you complete this seminar, you will have a good understanding of the QuickBooks process and capabilities.  

  

QuickBooks Desktop Beyond The Basics (Part 2 of 2) -

This class will expand on what you learned in the “Introduction To QuickBooks” seminar. Our QuickBooks expert will encourage class participation to discuss more complex transactions that participants might encounter in running their business including: receiving payments and paying bills, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and how to generate and understand the financial reports (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet) you need to monitor and analyze your business and give to your accountant at yearend. 


Introduction to QuickBooks Online – 

QuickBooks Online is a monthly subscription, cloud based accounting software that offers you anywhere, anytime access. Jeffrey Weathers, a certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor will give an overview of the QuickBooks Online line of products (Self Employed, Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus) and demonstrate the normal work flow using these products. 


Payroll 101 – 

This seminar is designed to be a beginner’s guide to payroll taxes and forms. Jeff Weathers, owner of Integrity Bookkeeping Services will discuss the payroll process from beginning to end – from hiring your employee, filling out forms, withholding and paying taxes and submitting forms to the State and Federal government. Whether you handle your payroll yourself, employ an in-house accountant, or outsource the whole deal, you’ll be in better control if you familiarize yourself with the basics.
